Two ways to work with us

Some women want the whole trip designed and handled. Others want to book it themselves and need an hour with somebody who has already done it. Both are legitimate, and we price them honestly.

A high ridgeline catching the last of the afternoon light

Service 01

Adventure Design

A trip built from a blank page, for one woman travelling alone or for the group she has talked into coming with her.

We do not hold a catalogue of departures and try to fit you into one. We start with a conversation about what you actually want out of a fortnight, which is often not the thing you thought you were booking, and we design outward from there. Sometimes that produces a heli-ski week in the Caucasus. Sometimes it produces eleven days on the Silk Road with three afternoons deliberately left empty.

Solo is the default we design for, not the exception we accommodate. That means single occupancy without the punitive supplement wherever we can negotiate it, arrival transfers timed so you are never landing into an unfamiliar city after dark, and accommodation chosen partly on whether the dining room is a comfortable place to eat alone. Group travel gets the same rigour applied to a harder problem: seven friends with seven different fitness levels and one shared budget.

Every itinerary is costed transparently, every supplier is one we have used ourselves, and you have a real person contactable in your own time zone for the entire time you are away.

What is included

  • Route, pacing and accommodation designed from scratch
  • Solo-considered logistics and single occupancy negotiation
  • Vetted local guides, most of them women
  • Transparent costing with no hidden commission layer
  • A named contact reachable for the full duration of the trip

Suited to: Women planning a first solo trip, a return to the mountains, a milestone birthday, or a group holiday that has to work for everybody in it.

Service 02

Consultation

For the traveller who wants to book it herself, and wants an hour with someone who has already been.

Not everybody wants a designed trip. Some women want to plan their own and simply need the unglamorous specifics from a person who has done it: whether the overnight train is actually safe, what the dress expectation really is in AlUla rather than what the guidebook hedges, which operator to avoid, whether a knee that grumbles on stairs will cope with eight days of touring.

It is also, frequently, a confidence conversation. A significant number of the women who come to us are not short of money or curiosity. They are short of one person telling them plainly that the thing they want to do is reasonable, that other women their age are doing it, and that the specific fear they are embarrassed to name out loud is one we have heard forty times.

You leave with notes, named contacts, and a plan you own. If you later decide you would rather we built the whole thing, the consultation fee comes off the design fee.

What is included

  • Ninety minutes, video or telephone, with written notes afterwards
  • Destination and seasonality advice for your specific dates
  • Honest safety, accessibility and fitness assessment
  • Operator and accommodation recommendations you can book direct
  • Fee credited in full against a later Adventure Design commission

Suited to: Independent planners, first-time solo travellers, and anyone weighing up a trip they have been circling for a couple of years.

How we work together

Six steps, and the first one costs nothing

Most trips take six to ten weeks from first call to confirmed itinerary. Winter heli weeks and migration camps need considerably longer, because the good operators fill a year out.

  1. 01

    The first conversation

Ninety minutes, no charge, no obligation. We ask about the last trip that genuinely moved you and the one you regret booking. Both answers are useful. By the end of it we will tell you honestly whether we are the right fit, including when we are not.

  2. 02

    The proposal

Within ten days you receive a written route with two or three genuine alternatives rather than one option dressed up as a decision. Costs are itemised. Where we think you should spend more, we say so; where a cheaper choice is genuinely better, we say that too.

  3. 03

    Design and refinement

We rework it with you until the pacing is right. This is the stage where most trips get shorter rather than longer. We hold rooms and guides while you decide, and nothing is confirmed until you have read the final document.

  4. 04

    Preparation

Visas, permits, insurance guidance, kit lists, fitness lead-in where the trip needs one, and a briefing on cultural expectation written for women specifically. If you are travelling alone we will walk you through the first forty-eight hours in detail.

  5. 05

    While you are away

A named contact, reachable in your time zone, for the whole trip. Weather turns, flights move, knees complain. Someone answers, and it is someone who already knows your itinerary.

  6. 06

    Afterwards

A conversation when you are home, partly so we can improve, mostly because the trip is not finished until you have talked about it. Most women book the next one in this call. A good number bring somebody with them.

Book the first ninety minutes and see what comes out

No charge, no obligation, and an honest answer at the end of it about whether we are the right people to build your trip.
